Best Model
This pageant, based in Istanbul, Turkey, was held every year in that country until 2009, when Bulgaria staged it. The Best Model of the World is not a beauty contest but a contest of the modeling profession.
International sponsors and model agencies wanted this contest to be open to both the married and the single models over 18 years old. A male model category began in 1995 and is held at the same time as the female contest.
