Faith Landman is the woman who won the first Miss Universe Netherlands crown under the ownership of Miss Beauty of the Netherlands. Faith is now newcomer in the world of Dutch nor the international pageantry. Many still remember the huge fan base she had when she represented our country at the Miss Earth pageant in 2017. Could she be the one that will place at the Miss Universe pageant after almost 10 years?
I’m Faith Landman a proud mother, entrepreneur, and advocate for gender equality. As a photographer, I capture meaningful moments, but my true passion lies in empowering women and children, especially when it comes to ensuring equal opportunities. Being a mom to my son has made me even more committed to building a future where girls and women can thrive, just as I want him to. I believe we all deserve the chance to grow, lead, and succeed, regardless of gender.
Entering Miss Universe Netherlands 2024 was a natural step for me, not a risk. Winning a national pageant was a huge honor, but Miss Universe offers a global platform where I can amplify my advocacy for gender equality and clean water access for women and children. This competition isn’t just about beauty for me it’s about using my voice and experience to create meaningful change.
I would look for someone who’s not just beautiful on the outside, but also driven by purpose. A beauty queen should embody strength, empathy, and flexibility. As someone who juggles the roles of mother, entrepreneur, and advocate, I know firsthand how important it is to have the courage to stand up for what you believe in—especially for women and children who deserve a brighter future. How do you prepare for the international finals? What is it that you have to work on most?
What sets me apart is my life experience as a mother and entrepreneur. I know what it means to multitask, to manage responsibilities, and to stay focused on what truly matters. My role as a mother has taught me resilience and patience, and being a photographer and businesswoman has given me the flexibility to work creatively while staying committed to my advocacy. I believe in gender equality, and that all women and girls should have the same opportunities as men, just like I want for my son.
My big dream has always been to compete in Expeditie Robinson. It’s a show where it’s truly about resilience, pushing yourself to the limit, and seeing how far you can go. I love challenges, and I never shy away from them. Being on Expeditie Robinson would be the ultimate test of strength, endurance, and determination, and I would love to see how much I can push myself to achieve.
Miss Universe has changed many of the “old” pageant rules, like allowing contestants to have children. Many fans disagree with that rule. Convince them why a beauty queen can have a child.
Being a mother doesn’t limit a woman’s ability to lead or inspire it strengthens it. As a mom, I’ve learned how to be resilient, flexible, and deeply compassionate. These are qualities that any beauty queen should have. Having a child gives you an even deeper understanding of the importance of creating a better future, not just for your own child, but for all children. I believe a beauty queen with a child shows the world that women can do it all nurture, lead, and inspire.
What about the Netherlands makes you proud? And why?
I’m incredibly proud of the Netherlands for its commitment to equality and human rights. Our country believes in fairness and giving everyone the chance to succeed, regardless of gender or background. This is something I carry in my heart, especially when advocating for gender equality and clean water access for women and children. It’s about building a better future for all, and I’m proud to represent a country that believes in that vision.
What are the rules you live your life by?
I live by three main principles: balance, growth, and equality. As a mother and entrepreneur, I strive for balance in my life giving my son the best while also pursuing my passions. I believe in constantly growing, always pushing myself to improve. Lastly, I believe deeply in equality. Women and girls deserve the same opportunities as men, and I’m committed to working toward that future for all, just as I hope for a bright and equal future for my son.
