For the second time the Miss Universe Netherlands pageant is broadcasted live on television. For the Netherlands the Miss Universe pageant had been a great succes the last 3 years, in 1989 Angela Visser won and Paulien Huizinga became 1st runner-up.
For Vivian Jansen the Miss Universe pageant was a big succes. She was very populair among the people of Thailand and in the end she was a top 6 finalist at the finals of the pageant.
