12 Months of Beauty is the organization behind Miss Grand Netherlands, Supermodel Netherlands, Supermodel Netherlands, Mister Global Netherlands and Miss and Mister Supranational Netherlands.
This year the organization started an online Beauty Pageant to select the dutch representatives for Miss Grand, Miss Supranational and Supermodel International.
After many assignments and challenges there are still 6 girls that made it to the finals and have a change to wear one of the BaroQco crowns.
We would like to get to know these 6 great girls and let them introduce themselves to the world.
The second one is Lotte Dirch
Who Are you?
My name is Lotte Dirchs. I am 21 years old and I am currently finishing my Bachelor’s in International Business Communication. I would describe myself as cheerful, creative and hard working. In my spare time I like to read, play sports and travel. What really gives me energy is being able to make other people smile.
When and how did you enter the world of beauty pageants?
I am a real newcomer in the world of beauty pageants. This year I entered my first pageant. Beauty pageants had always fascinated me and I was so impressed by the shows, the queens and their hard work. The participating women are such strong and beautiful women. In the past I was very insecure and I never thought I could be a part of the world of beauty pageants, but I worked a lot on getting more confidence and this year felt like the year for me to start! I am so glad I finally decided to go for it!
Can you tell us your experience in the 12 Month of Beauty Online Pageant?
As mentioned earlier, this is my first ever pageant so I did not really know what to expect. My experience in the 12 Months of Beauty Online Pageant has been amazing. The organization is really warm and welcoming and the team is very professional. They have guided me through the whole process and have always been very open and honest with me. The challenges have been interesting and I have learned a lot. Although I can imagine that it is very hard to organize a pageant during these strange times, it has been an unforgettable experience. The focus has always been on being true to myself and to keep on learning and growing as a person. I am amazed with how much we already accomplished in this online pageant and I am curious for what the future holds!
What’s your life’s Motto and how do you live your life by it?
The one thing that I always keep in mind is that ‘in the end you only regret the chances you didn’t take’. Mistakes will make you learn and grow, regret will mostly make you feel unhappy. I believe the feeling of regret is way worse than the feeling of fear when you are facing something new. I try to live by this and always embrace new challenges and adventures. Following my heart instead of following my doubts and committing myself 100% to the things I start. Some things might not work out in the end, but I can only be proud knowing that I did my best and that I really went for it!
How will your life be 10 years from now?
It is always hard to say how the future will be. If we only look at this year, the unexpected actually happened. But what I know for sure is that I will be following my dreams. Dreams in which I can not only achieve personal goals but in which I can also contribute to the world. Most of all, 10 years from now I hope to still be living a very happy life, full of learning and new experiences.
