We conclude our series with 4 questions for the candidates for THE SEARCH 22 from 12 Months of Beauty with Lotte Dirchs. This intelligent young women is a student and a model and she is the reigning Supermodel Netherlands.
Lotte Dirchs is a 23-year-old woman currently living in Nijmegen. I would describe myself as enthusiastic, hard working and caring. I love learning and I am currently studying for my Master’s degree in International Business Communication. My motto in life is ‘you only regret the chances that you didn’t take’ and therefore I take every challenge head-on. I believe that from challenging yourself you reach the most growth. I always aspire to be the best version of myself and to give back to the world around me.
Why did you enter the pageant of 12 Months of Beauty?
In short, I joined the pageant of 12 Months of Beauty to learn, grow and to help others. In 2020 I joined my first pageant and it was true love so to say. I have always liked modelling and fashion, but in the pageant world you also have the opportunity to show your personality and to raise awareness for important societal issues. I get to be myself and I get to use my voice to help others. Especially the last part, helping others, is what drives me. The values and working method of 12 Months of Beauty really speak to me. The 12 Months of Beauty family is extremely welcoming and loving. I joined the 12 Months of beaty pageant because personal growth is one of the key points and because the organisation has a lot of attention for who I really am and what I really want to achieve with my platform. I believe that learning and growing is so important and during this competition I am making enormous steps. I am really thankful for all that I am experiencing.
What difference would you like to make for the pageant world in The Netherlands and why?
I believe that representation is extremely important and I strive to make the Dutch (and also international) pageant world more inclusive and diverse. In 2021 I became ill and I got diagnosed with a chronic illness. I have built my platform, Gut Vibes, around this to raise more awareness about chronic illnesses. But, I believe that just with competing in pageants I already challenge the pageant world in the Netherlands. Seeing a miss like me, with a disability. on stage is already an important statement.
What message do you have for your pageant fans?
First of all, thank you so much for all the love and support that you have been giving me! I truly feel blessed reading all the kind messages and posts! Second, I will continue to work hard towards the title! Always believe in yourself and go after your dreams!
