“And I will always love you….” beautiful sung by April Darby while the beautiful Miss Earth Netherlands 2017, Faith Landman, Miss Intercontinental Netherlands 2017, Cathelijne Heppenhuis, Miss Teen of the Netherlands 2017, Phaydra Saenen, walked on stage to have their farewell walk.
The song was at special request of the director of the Beauty of the Netherlands, the great Milou Verhoeks who was really touched by the moment.
The Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2018 finals were the 10th national final for Milou. In 2009 she started with the Queen of the Netherlands in a small venue in Centre Parcs in Zeewolde, when Inger de Jonge won.
For Milou in 2018 many dreams came true. Like an international travel with all of the finalists to a magical castle in France.
April Darby was one of the three artists who performed at the finals. The very impressive Rolf Sanchez who give a latin touch to the bikini round and made not only the girls but also the audience dance to songs like: “Despacito” .
The rock group “Mister Moto” gave a very energetic show while the girls rocked the stage.
This year we were welcomed in Studio 21 with a lovely meal and after that a great show where the girls showed their dance moves on the overwhelming choreography by Aneudi Cabral. You really had to pay attention as 36 finalists is quite a lot and the formations changed many times.
Besides the main titles there were also several subtitles and two more crowns: Miss Asia Pacific Netherlands 2018 and Top Model Netherlands 2018 to win.
During the last few months we followed the pageant and the girls on social media and therefore we had our eyes on some of the girls who made our hot picks. Most of these girls didn’t disappoint us, but also some who didn’t make our hot picks did a great job.
A radiant Miss Teen of Gelderland, Jennifer Descendre and the beautiful Miss Teen of Zuid Holland, Quishantely Leito both made it very clear to be there to win. Also Miss Teen of Groningen, Gabriella Silva did a great show but failed to make the cut.
From the first moment Michelle van Sonsbeek was crowned Miss Intercontinental Overijssel, we knew she was the one to beat. If there was one who would be able to do so it was Miss Intercontinental Noord Holland, Nina Irambona, who was probably one of the most beautiful girls ons stage this evening. Also Miss Intercontinental Drenthe was one of the girls who got our attention and Miss Intercontinental Zuid Holland, who was on spot and did a great speech when she made the top 5.
For the main title, Miss Beauty of the Netherlands, there were many who would be perfect for the beautiful BaroQco crown. The stunning Miss Beauty of Friesland, Margaretha de Jong, the gorgeous Miss Beauty of Limburg, Raquel van Gool, the strong and experienced Miss Beauty of Zuid Holland, Milenka Janssen, the sexy Miss Beauty of Noord Holland, Makiko Kelatow, the pretty Miss Beauty of Utrecht, Zoe Jaarsma, and the sweet Miss Beauty of Groningen, Thirza Kregmeier.
