And Miss Beauty All Stars 2023 is…. Utrecht!
Morgan Doelwijt could hardly believe her ears when Milou Verhoeks, director and founder of Miss Beauty All Stars called her as the first winner of this new pageant and therefore also the new Miss International Netherlands. In one month she will go to Japan and represent our country in Tokio at Miss International.
Like all other finalists, Morgan is no newcomer in the dutch world of beauty pageants. It’s even the concept of the All Stras pageant. All finalist have been a provincial beauty or teen winner in the annual Miss Beauty of the Netherlands. Morgan was Miss Beauty of Utrecht in 2017 and won the Miss Asia Pacific Netherlands crown. She represented the Netherlands at the Miss Asia Pacific 2017 pageant and did a great job, becoming 3rd runner up at the finals.
Like in 2017 Morgan represented the province of Utrecht. Her court included, All Stars Flevoland, Kimberley IJsbrandij (2nd) and All Stars Groningen, Christina Lazaros (3rd). Rounding up the top 5 are Anne Loerakker and Sophie Egberink, representing Noord Brabant and Noord Holland.
During the preliminary activities and the online challenges we already noticed Morgan, Kimberley and Christina as the three candidates for the crown. Morgan has a very enthousiastic and young appearance that really gets to you. Her smile is radiant and her face has that international vibe.
Kimberley showed a lot of her preparations at her socials. She took this pageant very seriously and had her own personal trainer who showed her how to pose, to train and how to look. Well it showed! Her style and look was one of the best of this pageant and she really stood out because of that. Also her socials skills are great. That she was one of the favorites could also be noticed as she won two important awards, the Miss Popularity and the Best in Interview.
Christina was the online queen. We mentioned that on our socials so there was no surprise when she won the Miss Social Media award. Christina already represented Greece at several international pageants like Miss Eco an Miss Asia Pacific, but showed during he whole proces and the finals that she is up for a Grand Slam pageant. She was very determined and one could see that she really enjoyed the whole proces and never disappointed.
Anne Brouwer also got our attention during the pre-pageant activities. She gave us the best photos during the whole time. So also no surprise when she won Miss Photogenic, handed out by Faith Landman, Miss Earth Netherlands 2017 and one of the official photographers for Miss Beauty All Stars. Anne already represented the Netherlands at Miss Teen International in 2022, where she became 2nd runner up and won the Best Body award.
During the finals we were really very surprised by the great performance of Miss All Stars Limburg, Indy Thomas. She really showed an international vibe during the whole final show. She never lost the touch with evening and knew wat she was doing on stage.
We from Miss Holland Now were very excited as we were responsible for one of the judges. The beautiful and very lovely Jacqueline Boertien, a runner-up at the Miss Holland 1980 pageant. She represented the Netherlands at the Miss International 1980 pageant. We started chatting during the Corona pandemic and she also answered 10 questions, you can read them here.
What can we say about the show? Well, like any Miss Beauty final it was a radiant and flashing show. We really enjoyed the opening of the show and the Japanese dance with the hand fans. We could feel the tense of the girls during the whole evening, and that made it really personal for the audience.
